Musical act Idiot Glee, the solo project of Kentuckian James Friley, has been an IGIF favorite for longer than I can remember. After seeing him perform with Holiday Shores and Women the past few months, I had multiple chances to catch a bunch of new material from his upcoming debut LP due out in early 2011. One track in particular was incredibly catchy, driven by some snazzy bass and a sample from James and Bobby Purify’s “I’m Your Puppet”. The track is titled “Don’t Go Out Tonight” and has been set to a stellar music video (put together by Ross at Hop Hop Records) borrowing footage from Dire Straits video “Romeo and Juliet” – fitting Idiot Glee’s nonchalant sound perfectly. Check out the new track and video after the jump!

it is a trend in the music (and music video) world to intentionally lower quality to mimic the unintentional aging effect of older works.
SO DAMN GOOD
