This Saturday is IGIF’s 5th Anniversary show featuring some of our favorite artists throughout our history, including some we’re super excited about in the future. We’ll have a new feature running soon that will highlight our favorite and, ultimately, most promising acts of 2011′s – none excite me more than a young band from Indiana called Dreamers of the Ghetto. Before the close of 2010 I highlighted them in a Hypeworthy post, sharing a demo of my favorite track “Phone Call” and a video for “Tether”. Videographer Daniel Arthur captured the band performing “Tether” live recently and it’s super entrancing, this band produces a powerful sound with equally mesmerizing harmonies. Plus, they’re just the tip of the iceberg for our show this Saturday at Glasslands – they’re kicking off the night right, so be sure to come and catch their Brooklyn debut!

I love their style; it defies the public’s expectations for a band that plays such amazing low-key indie jams. Also, that’s the most gorgeous concert video I’ve ever seen.
Nice vid and song, but that’s definitely a studio recording until the end of the song.
It is a studio track laid under live footage at an MOKB Presents show. Daniel shoots for MOKB Presents and Laundromatinee (shot the recent Freddie Gibbs Laundromatinee session) a lot. Here are some others he’s treated in the same manner…
